Those sleek curves, the wire wheels, the red color representing not just a racing team but an entire country, the sober dashboard with just the necessary dials and controls, the leather hood latches, not to mention the mechanical ingenuity hidden within, roaring with heavenly music...

S1 Pikes Peak

It seems unbelievable, but a whole year has passed since we announced, in our newsletter number 683, the release by KMP of the Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2 transkit that won the Pikes Peak with Walter Röhrl at the wheel, for use on the Beemax / Nunu model.

In detail

All Westerners are strongly drawn to oriental writing, with its curious strokes and stylish scripts, which fascinate us because they are completely strange to us, being so different from the alphabets we use on a daily basis.

This week we received the latest decal of the Toyota Yaris GR that raced in Finland in 2024, produced by Decalcas. Sebastien Ogier and Vincent Landais participated in and won that race with a livery celebrating their World Championship victories. Upon inspecting the product, as we do with all new arrivals at SpotModel, we were absolutely blown away and drooling for quite some time because we examined the decal closely with a magnifying glass and it's incredible what we saw!

We spoke with the Decalcas design team, who told us that in their pursuit of hyper-excellence in their designs, they spent many hours researching and reproducing, one by one, eeeeeevery single name that were on the roof of the Yaris, with their original Western and Eastern characters. And it's absolutely true!!! At first glance, it's not very noticeable, but when you use a magnifying glass, you can read each of the names of the Japanese, English, Chinese, German, Finnish... that appeared on the real car in perfect detail. We looked for photos of the car, and they're all there, exactly the same. Standing ovation, please!
